This development blog aims to develop a conceptual stop-motion animation storyboard for the energy drink brand Reboost , The animation must compliment the energy drink and bring the flavours and packaging to life, demonstrating the consistent energy release through a series of conceptual transitions and this ensures the target audiences will be able to keep up with the animation
Secondary Research
While searching for inspiration for my project, I came across this video as a reference. The animation effectively captures attention through fluid transitions, vibrant colors, and dynamic movement. It uses seamless morphing effects to illustrate the transformation of ingredients into the final product, reinforcing the idea of freshness and energy. The combination of slow-motion shots, liquid dynamics, and engaging sound design enhances the viewer’s sensory experience, making the message more memorable. This approach not only highlights the product’s key attributes but also creates a visually immersive and emotionally appealing narrative.

Developing Storyboard
In the opening scene of my storyboard, an orange emerges from a pot, gradually rising into the air. As it ascends, it undergoes a captivating transformation, shifting from a fresh, natural fruit to a vibrant orange-flavoured drink can. The can then slides from left to right, symbolizing the seamless transition from nature to product while emphasizing the purity, vitality, and natural ingredients that define Reboost.
In the second scene, the orange drink can rolls horizontally, followed by the lime drink can rolling upright and the watermelon drink can moving vertically. This dynamic motion highlights the variety of Reboost flavours, showcasing the smooth, conceptual transitions between them and emphasizing the brand’s commitment to offering a diverse and energizing experience.
In the third scene, a group of oranges flies upward, symbolizing the burst of energy and natural freshness of the Reboost orange flavour. This movement reinforces the product’s vitality and refreshing essence.
In the fourth scene, the lime drink can rotates slowly counterclockwise, savoring the rhythm of its own movement. This gentle motion represents the refreshing, invigorating nature of the lime flavor, adding a sense of calm energy to the Reboost experience.
In the fifth scene, a group of limes surrounds an object, while the lime drink can rises from the bottom to the top. This movement symbolizes the natural origin of the lime flavor, demonstrating the transformation from fruit to product, and conceptually highlighting the essence of lime in Reboost.
In the sixth scene, the watermelon drink can begins to rotate, spinning gently in a counter clockwise motion. This graceful movement symbolizes the refreshing, natural essence of the watermelon flavour, conveying fluidity and vitality as it transitions into the Reboost product.
In the final scene, the lime, orange, and watermelon drink cans come together, leaping into the air and spinning from left to right. Their synchronized motion symbolizes the unity and energy of the Reboost flavours, bringing the scene to a dynamic and engaging close.
I designed this simple animation with older consumers in mind, ensuring that the transitions are easy to follow and visually engaging, while conceptually highlighting the natural ingredients and vitality of the Reboost energy drink.
