Adobe Photoshop Self Portrait

Adobe Photoshop Self Portrait -1

This is my first attempt at creating a Photoshop self-portrait. I find it very difficult to use compared to other Adobe software, so I decided to watch some helpful tutorials about the programme and decide to create a typography self-portrait for my project. I copy the Imagine John Lennon lyrics from the internet and paste them into a mob photoshop file. Next, I try to arrange the entire lyrics in a beautiful way on an A4 page.

During the second process, I choose to work on a photo that I had imported into Photoshop. I tried to remove the background to make it easier to change to black, and I refined the edge to make it smooth and feathery. Next, I changed the picture’s contrast and increased its opacity to pure black. Finally, I converted my source image to a smart object, which helped me manipulate it as I wanted.
The most crucial next step was creating a displacement map, which will help my typography to follow the curves of my subject’s head.Once I create a displacement map, I need to apply a filter called Gaussian Blur to make the best possible displacement map. The final step involved applying layer overlay to my image, changing the blend mode to multiply, adjusting the shadow and midtones until the brightness and contrast of my portrait were to my satisfaction, and repositioning my text to follow the curves of my subject.

I want to create Threshold as my second self-portrait. Threshold is The Threshold command in Adobe Photoshop can be used to create a basic one-color effect. A full-color photo can be turned into a black outline. Four layers are produced using this method, each with a distinct colour and increasing threshold levels. A “layered threshold” is the result in the end. With this self-portrait, I hope to demonstrate my ability to manipulate any kind of image, alter the effects, add a background texture, and work with colour.
